SSL: Revoke a certificate

To revoke your SSL (TLS) certificate, you need to follow a few simple steps at our certificate provider, GeoTrust.

Request a login to the GeoTrust SSL portal

The first step is to request a new login to the GeoTrust SSL portal. You can do that using this link:

https://products.geotrust.com/orders/orderinformation/authentication.do

Enter the domain name for which you hold the SSL certificate. Please note that the email address must be the one you have in your Loopia Account as your contact email (usually not admin@yourdomain.com).

Within a few minutes you will receive a message at your contact email containing a login link to GeoTrust.

Revoke the certificate

In the left-hand menu you will find the option “Revoke Certificate”.

Double-check that you are revoking the correct SSL certificate (usually the one with the oldest date). Select the certificate and click “I approve”.

Confirm the revocation

The revocation process can take a while, and you may sometimes see a timeout error (internal server error) at GeoTrust. The revocation may still have completed successfully. Please check your email inbox for a revocation message, which confirms that the process has finished.
