I cannot log in and read my email

If you cannot log in to your Loopia email account (mailadmin or webmail), the problem is almost always either an incorrect username or a forgotten password. This article explains both causes and how to resolve them.

Use your full email address as the username

The most common cause of login problems is entering the wrong username. Your username is always your complete email address, for example info@example.com — not just the part before the @ sign.

Double-check that you have:

  • Typed the full address, including the domain part after the @ sign.
  • Used the correct spelling of your domain name.
  • Not added any extra spaces before or after the address.

Reset your password if you have forgotten it

If your username is correct but the password is not accepted, you need to set a new password. Passwords for email accounts are managed from the Loopia Customer Zone (your control panel).

  1. Log in to the Loopia Customer Zone.
  2. Open the domain that the email account belongs to.
  3. Go to Email accounts and select the affected address.
  4. Set a new password and save the change.

After changing the password, try logging in again to the webmail or update the password in your email program (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or your mobile mail app).
