Forward emails through the Customer Zone

This guide shows how to set up email forwarding (an email alias) in the Loopia Customer Zone, so that mail sent to an address on your domain is automatically forwarded to an existing inbox such as Gmail, Outlook.com or an address from your internet service provider. This is the option available on a Loopia DNS account, which does not include a mailbox.

Note: a forwarding address can only receive and forward email. If you also want to send messages from your domain address, you need a web hosting (webbhotell) account.

Open the email creation wizard

Log in to the Loopia Customer Zone. On the front page, find the What would you like to do? section and click Create an email address.

Choose the forwarding option

On a Loopia DNS account, the only available option is forwarding. Click Create an email alias to forward emails to for example Gmail or Hotmail.

Enter the forwarding details

Fill in the form:

  • Domain — select the domain the new address should be on (for example example.com).
  • Enter desired email — type the part of the address that goes before the @ sign. The system fills in the rest automatically and shows you a preview of the full address.
  • Forward to — enter the existing address you want incoming mail forwarded to (for example yourname@gmail.com).
