There are several ways to delete old messages from your Loopia email account. The easiest is to use an email client (such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird), but you can also clean up directly in the Loopia webmail. This article explains both methods.
Recommended: use an email client
We recommend using an email client for clearing out large amounts of mail. If you connect with the POP3 protocol, make sure the Leave a copy of messages on server option is unchecked. Otherwise every message will be stored twice — both in your email account on the server and locally on your computer.
Delete messages in the webmail
If you prefer to clean up in the browser, log in to the Loopia webmail and follow these steps.
Step 1: Select the messages
In the message list, click the message you want to delete. To select several messages, hold down the Ctrl key (or Cmd on a Mac) and click each message.

Step 2: Move them to the Trash
Press the Delete key on your keyboard, or drag the selected messages to the Trash icon in the left-hand pane. The messages are moved to the Trash folder but are not yet deleted from the server.
Step 3: Empty the Trash to delete permanently
To remove the messages from the server for good:
- Click the Trash folder in your folder list.
- Select all the messages in the Trash.
- Press the Delete key to delete them permanently.

Restore a message you deleted by mistake
If you moved a message to the Trash by mistake, you can drag it back to the Inbox in your folder list. Once the Trash has been emptied, however, the messages are removed from the server and cannot be recovered from the webmail.
