WordPress is a content management system used to build and run websites, from blogs and business sites to online shops. It lets you create and edit content without coding, and customise your site with themes and add-ons.
What you can build
- A site with standard pages: a homepage, an about page, a contact page.
- A blog or news site with posts sorted by date.
- An online shop, by adding a shop plugin.
- Extra features like contact forms, image galleries and SEO tools via plugins.
Getting started
- Log in to your Customer Zone and choose the option to start a website, blog or online store.
- Choose WordPress and fill in your site name, username, password and email address.
- Pick the domain or subdomain to install on and start the installation.
- Log in to the admin panel at your domain followed by /wp-admin.
- Pick a theme under Appearance, and add features under Plugins.
- Create your content under Pages and Posts.
