Loopia lets you renew many top-level domains (TLDs) for several years at once, so your domain stays safely registered without needing yearly attention. This article explains how multi-year renewal (bulk renewal) works and how to pay for it through your LoopiaPREPAID balance.
You can currently make a multi-year renewal for the following top-level domains: .SE, .COM, .NU, .EU, .ORG, .NET, .ME, .BIZ, .INFO, .MOBI, .NAME, .TV, .CC, .FREE, .CLUB, .EMAIL, .WEBSITE, .GURU and .LINK.
The minimum registration period for a domain name is 12 months (1 year) and the maximum is 120 months (10 years). We offer the full range in our order flow, but not for new registrations made inside the Customer Zone.
When you renew an existing domain in the Customer Zone, the minimum renewal time is 12 months (1 year) and the maximum is 108 months (9 years).
To renew a domain, sufficient funds must be available in your LoopiaPREPAID account (your prepaid balance with Loopia).
1. Top up LoopiaPREPAID with the amount your renewal requires
For current prices, please see our domain price list. The column titled Renewal is the relevant one. At the bottom of the page you can also check whether prices are shown with or without VAT.
Example: If you wish to renew a domain for one more year, the cost is the current annual renewal price. If you renew for five years, the cost is the annual renewal price multiplied by five.
How to top up LoopiaPREPAID
- Log in to the Loopia Customer Zone.
- In the Customer Zone menu on the right, find Prepaid and click it.
- In the new window that opens, enter the desired amount in the field and then click the Order Prepaid button that appears.
You can now choose to pay the Prepaid invoice directly by card or wait until the invoice is sent to you.
If you receive invoices by email, the new invoice will be sent to you shortly. You will also be able to see the invoice in the Customer Zone.
If you receive invoices by post, it may take a few days before the invoice reaches you. You should still be able to see the invoice in the Customer Zone within a few hours.
The invoice can be paid by card on our card payment page, where payment is registered immediately, or by bankgiro or IBAN/SWIFT, where the payment can take a few banking days to reach us.
2. Request the multi-year renewal
Once the correct amount has been deposited into your LoopiaPREPAID balance, you can request the multi-year renewal.
- On the Customer Zone front page, click on the domain name you want to renew for multiple years.
- In the new window that opens, scroll down to Renewals and click the Renew button.
Please note: prices in the example may have changed.
- Select the year you wish to renew the domain name to, then click Confirm to confirm your choice.
Please note that for .SE and .NU domains you can also choose the month for the renewal, as long as the renewal period is at least 12 months.
If you wish to make a multi-year renewal for additional domain names, simply repeat the process for each one.
