Ordered a domain but didn’t get the one you wanted, and wondering how to get a refund? Here’s why this can happen and how to proceed.
Why registration is prepaid
All orders on our website require payment in advance. As soon as you’ve paid and we’ve received confirmation from the bank, we can attempt to register the domain. Domain registration works on a first-come, first-served basis.
We can’t reserve a domain while waiting for payment – we always wait for bank confirmation before attempting registration. This means that if you wait to pay an invoice, the domain may already have been registered by another registrar or reseller in the meantime.
Because our processes are fully automated, we’re able to offer domain registrations at the prices you see on our website.
Getting a refund
If a domain couldn’t be registered, you’ll be notified by email, along with a message about the payment. If you’d like a refund, simply reply to that email. The subject line reads: Important information about your payment for invoice <OCR number>.
