My newly registered domain is not available

A newly registered domain name usually takes 12-24 hours to become fully functional. This is the time required for the domain’s DNS information (zone entries) to propagate across the internet, and it applies no matter which registrar you used.

Why is there a delay?

When a domain is registered, its details need to be added to the global DNS system and copied to name servers (DNS servers) around the world. Until that has happened, some networks will still answer that the domain does not exist.

What to do while you wait

If the domain is still unreachable after 48 hours, contact Loopia support so we can check the status of the registration and DNS for you.
