Loopia registers domain names in the top-level domains (TLDs) listed on our website, such as .se, .com, .co.uk and others. If your domain is registered with another registrar, you can still use it together with a Loopia web hosting account.
Using a domain registered elsewhere
If the TLD you need is one we do not register, simply keep the domain at its current registrar and add it to your Loopia account so you can manage DNS records (zone entries) and point services to Loopia.
How to add an external domain to Loopia
- Log in to Loopia Customer Zone.
- Choose Buy or add domain name.
- Select Add domain name and follow the steps.
- At your current registrar, delegate the domain to Loopia’s name servers (DNS servers): ns1.loopia.se and ns2.loopia.se.
How long do the changes take?
Changes you make in Customer Zone for the domain typically take effect within 24-48 hours, the time needed for DNS information to propagate across the internet.
