In order to use domain names with Swedish characters such as Å, Ä and Ö (IDN) requires that Web browsers and email programs offer support for this.
Internet Explorer 6 and Outlook / Outlook Express currently offer no support for IDN domains, without having to install an add-on (plugin).
Almost all other browsers offers however support for IDN domains. When it comes to email, the support for IDN is often limited.
We therefore usually recommend our customers to see the IDN domain names as a complement to the transliterated domain name (domain name without Swedish characters).
