You can choose how your custom HTML is shown while you work in Loopia Sitebuilder: as plain code, or fully rendered inside the editor. To render it, set the Rendering dropdown to Site and editor in the HTML embed block or HTML widget. If the editor stops responding, click Pause to switch back to code view.
Note: adding and editing custom code requires Sitebuilder Large. If you have a different package, you’ll need to upgrade to use this feature.
Rendering in the editor lets you see the real result straight away, adjust the layout visually and test interactive elements before you publish your site. If something goes wrong, you can pause rendering, fix the code and resume, so the editor keeps working smoothly.
Turning on rendering
- In the editor, add a Custom block with an HTML embed widget, or add an HTML embed block.
- Paste your HTML code into the code field.
- In the Rendering dropdown, choose Site and editor. This option runs the code directly in the editor.
- Click Submit to apply the changes.
After you click Submit:
- The code is rendered inside the editor.
- A banner appears at the bottom of the screen showing that custom code is running.
- You can keep editing the layout as usual while the code is active.
Pausing and resuming custom code
While rendering is active, a Rendering custom code banner is shown at the bottom of the editor, with Pause and Resume buttons.
If the editor stops responding after you turn on rendering (for example, the page can no longer be scrolled), the code is affecting the layout. Click Pause: the editor switches back to showing the code instead of running it in the block, so you can review, edit or remove it.
When you’re ready, click Resume to render everything again.
