There are two ways to add a banner to a page in Loopia Sitebuilder: use an image as the background of a Call to action block, or add banner HTML code directly via an HTML embed block.
You might want a banner to:
- Promote a special event, such as a campaign or something new in your online store.
- Support an organisation or good cause, such as a charity.
- Drive sales on external platforms, for example a product in an Amazon store.
- Add colour to the page and highlight a new user experience.
Which method should you choose?
- Need a clickable button that sends visitors to another page or website, or lets them download a file? Choose the Call to action block.
- Already have a ready-made banner from a third party? Choose an HTML embed block.
Adding a banner with the Call to action block
To turn a Call to action block into a full-width banner, you need a background image that supports your message:
- Click Add block (+) to open the Block library.
- Go to the Call to action block and choose a layout with a background image.
- Click the block to add it to the page, then hover over it to open the Block settings menu.
- Check that Primary button is ticked in Block settings → Layout.
- Edit the heading: click it and type or paste your content.
- Customise the button by clicking it and editing the link.
- Replace the block’s background with your banner image via the block’s background settings.
Your banner is ready – remember to publish your site for the changes to show.
Adding a banner with the HTML embed block
If you have ready-made banner code from a third party, you can add it via the HTML embed block without designing the banner yourself:
- Click Add block (+) to open the Block library.
- Choose the HTML embed block to add it to the page.
- Click the Custom HTML icon to add the code.
- Paste your HTML code into the field and click Submit.
Your custom banner goes live as soon as you publish your site.
