Call to action (CTA) blocks are designed to prompt an immediate response or trigger a specific action from visitors to your site. You can turn any button into a call to action, but a dedicated Call to action block delivers your message in a highly visual way that makes your offer hard to ignore.
This block also offers exclusive layouts with distinctive features and decorations that require Sitebuilder Large.
Adding a Call to action block
- Choose where you want the block and click Add Block (+).
- In the Blocks library, go to the Call to action section to see the ready-made layouts.
- Click the block that suits your site – it’s added to the page automatically.
Customising the block settings
Hover over the block and click the Block settings icon. The menu has two tabs: Layout and Appearance.
In the Layout tab you can switch layouts and choose which elements appear – remove the blue tick next to an element to hide it.
In the Appearance tab you can:
- Crop the background image: change the image’s focal point and position.
- Replace image: swap the background image from your computer or the built-in free image library.
- Block style: change the block’s colour scheme.
- Block spacing: change the space above and below the block.
- Horizontal alignment: align content left or centre.
- Background settings: add a black-and-white filter or an overlay to the background image.
Note: the controls available may vary depending on the layout. Click Save when done, and undo any action with Undo in the top bar or Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac).
Editing the Call to action button
Hover over the button and start typing to replace its text.
Adding more Call to action blocks
To show more offers on the page, hover over the block element you want to duplicate and click the Duplicate icon. An identical element appears below the original.
Creating a campaign or sale banner
Use the Call to action block to quickly create a promotional content block that draws attention to your sale, event or campaign – no external image-editing software needed:
- In the Blocks library, choose a Call to action layout you like.
- Customise the block’s background with a campaign image.
- Customise the title and subtitle with details of your sale or campaign.
Click Publish to make the changes live.
