Loopia’s UNIX and Autobahn web hosting platforms support HTTP/2 (the second major version of the HTTP protocol). HTTP/2 improves loading speed by allowing the browser and server to exchange multiple requests over a single connection and by compressing headers. No configuration is needed in the Customer Zone — HTTP/2 is enabled automatically for sites served over HTTPS on these platforms.
Test whether your site uses HTTP/2
You can test whether your website is being served over HTTP/2 using the free tool at tools.keycdn.com/http2-test. Enter your domain name and the tool will report whether HTTP/2 is in use.
If HTTP/2 is not detected, make sure your site is accessible over HTTPS, as browsers only negotiate HTTP/2 over an encrypted connection. See our guide on activating Let’s Encrypt if you do not yet have an SSL certificate.
