Rules for registration of domain names

The following design rules applies for the domain names you can register through us. For price information see:

.SE

• Valid characters are a-z, å, ä, ö, ü, é, æ, ø, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “–” is not allowed, except for ACE encoded IDN domain names.
• At least two and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .se)
• A number of domain names are blocked from registration, see this list at .SE.

.EU

• A number of domain names are blocked and for more information you can check www.eurid.eu
• Valid characters are a-z, å, ä, ö, ü, é, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “–” is not allowed, except for ACE encoded IDN domain names.
• At least two and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .eu)

.NU

• Rules
• Valid characters are a-z, å, ä, ö, ü, é, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Can not only contain numbers and/or “-“
• Two characters followed by “–” is not allowed, except for ACE encoded IDN domain names.
• At least 3 and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .nu)

.COM

• Rules

• Valid characters are a-z, å, ä, ö, ü, é, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “–” is not allowed, except for ACE encoded IDN domain names.

.NET

.MOBI

• Valid characters are a-z, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “-” is not allowed.
• At least 3 and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .mobi)

.TV

• Valid characters are a-z, å, ä, ö, ü, é, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “–” is not allowed, except for ACE encoded IDN domain names.
• At least 3 and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .tv)

.NAME

• Valid characters are a-z, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “-” is not allowed.
• At least 3 and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .name)

.DK

• Valid characters are a-z, å, ä, ö, ü, é, æ, ø, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “–” is not allowed, except for ACE encoded IDN domain names.
• At least 2 and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .dk)

.BE

• Valid characters are a-z, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “-” is not allowed.
• At least 3 and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .be)

.AT

• Valid characters are a-z, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “-” is not allowed.
• At least 3 and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .at)

.PL

• Valid characters are a-z, å, ä, ö, ü, é, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “–” is not allowed, except for ACE encoded IDN domain names.
• At least 3 and a maximum of 63 characters (not included .pl)

.CO.UK och .ORG.UK

• Rules
• A number of domain names are blocked and for more information you can check the above information page.
• Valid characters are a-z, 0-9, “-“
• Cannot begin or end with “-“
• Two characters followed by “-” is not allowed.
• Domain names with only two characters must contain at least one digit.
• At least two characters (with the above rule) and up to 64 characters including .co.uk eller .org.uk
• This will, according to Nominet, change in the future so it is up to 63 characters excluding .co.uk and .org.uk
