The About us block lets you tell the story of your business, brand or product. Use this feature-rich block to present your story and other content – it’s useful whenever you need to combine text and visuals for maximum impact.
This block also offers exclusive layouts with distinctive features and decorations that require Sitebuilder Large.
Adding the About us block
- Choose where you want to insert the block and click the (+) button.
- In the Blocks library, go to the About us section and choose the block design you like.
- Click the block to insert it on your page.
Customising the block settings
Click the block, then the Block settings icon. The menu has two tabs: Layout and Appearance.
In the Layout tab you can switch layouts and choose which elements appear – remove the blue tick next to an element to hide it, then click Save.
In the Appearance tab you can change:
- Block style: the block’s colour scheme.
- Block spacing: the space above and below the block.
- Block height: toggle fullscreen on or off.
- Media content location: the position of the block image.
- Vertical alignment: the vertical alignment of text in the block.
- Content style: add borders and shadows to certain elements.
- Media settings: add a black-and-white filter to the block.
Note: the controls available may vary depending on the layout.
Editing images
You can replace the demo images in the About us block with your own business images.
Editing the block’s text
Click a text element to replace the demo text, or paste in text from elsewhere. Other text-editing options include adjusting font size and colour, adding links, creating numbered and bulleted lists, and changing text alignment.
Customising block elements
All elements in the About us block are highly customisable – you can add, edit and remove most of them. Undo any action with Undo or Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac). Click Publish to make the changes live.
