The Headline block presents key information about your business, product or service in a clear, impactful way. Use it to introduce what you offer and make it easy for visitors to get in touch.
This block also offers exclusive layouts with distinctive features and decorations that require Sitebuilder Large.
Adding a Headline block
Every ready-made template includes a Headline block, but you can add more wherever you like on your site:
- Find a suitable spot for your headline block and click the (+) button.
- In the Blocks library, find the Headline section in the vertical menu on the left and click the headline style you like.
Customising the block settings
Click anywhere on the block, then the Block settings icon.
In the Layout tab you can choose which elements appear – remove the blue tick next to an element (for example, a button) to hide it.
In the Appearance tab you can change:
- Replace image: swap the block’s background image.
- Block style: the block’s colour scheme.
- Block height: the block’s height.
- Horizontal alignment: how content is aligned horizontally.
- Vertical alignment: the vertical position of content in the block.
- Content style: add borders and shadows to certain elements.
- Background settings: add a black-and-white filter and an overlay.
- Media settings: add a black-and-white filter to the block’s content.
Note: the controls available vary by layout. For example, layouts that include a form get an extra Form location option.
Editing the block’s text
Click a text element to replace the demo text, or paste in text from elsewhere. Other text-editing options include adjusting font size and colour, adding links, creating numbered and bulleted lists, and changing text alignment.
Editing the background image
Edit the Headline block’s background image via the block’s control panel under Appearance → Replace image.
Note: remember to click Save in the top right to keep your changes, and Publish to make them live.
