Blocks are the foundation of your website. Like building bricks, they make up your site’s structure – from the Header block, through the main content area, down to the Footer block. Each block type is designed to help you reach a specific goal: the Gallery block shows off your portfolio, the Text block adds text content, and the Contacts block helps visitors get in touch.
Once you’ve added a block, you can customise it from its control panel:
- Edit the block’s background image
- Duplicate the block
- Customise the block settings
- Move the block up or down in the layout
- Copy and paste the block
- Delete the block
Editing the block’s background image
The first button in the block’s control panel is Edit image – a shortcut to the block settings. You can also get there via Settings → Layout.
Note: this option is only available for block types that have layouts with background images, such as Gallery, Call to action, Images, Videos and Counters. If you’re using one of these blocks and want this option, switch to a layout with a background image.
Editing a background image includes replacing it with your own or one from the free image library, cropping it and changing its focal point.
Duplicating a block
Duplicating is a great way to use an existing block as the starting point for new content – the copy gets the same text, layout, images and settings as the original.
- Hover over the block you want to duplicate to activate the control panel.
- Click Duplicate – an identical block appears below the original.
- Change the content and settings as you would for any other block.
You can also duplicate elements inside blocks – for example, to add more testimonials or team members.
Customising block settings
Block settings let you customise elements like the background, content alignment, block spacing and more. Hover over the block to activate the control panel, then click the Block settings icon.
Moving blocks on the page
You can move blocks around the layout using the Move up and Move down buttons in the control panel. Move up moves the block one position above the previous block; Move down moves it below the next one.
Copying and pasting blocks
Once you’ve customised a block, you can copy and paste it as many times as you like on the same page. It isn’t possible to paste a block onto a different page.
- Hover over the block you want to copy, then click the ellipsis icon in the control panel for more options.
- Click Copy block or Cut block – all customisations and content are copied.
- Go to where you want to paste the block. Hover over the nearest block, click More in its control panel and choose Paste before this block or Paste after this block.
Deleting a block
Hover over the block you want to delete and click the bin icon. The page layout adjusts automatically – you can delete as many blocks as you like and your layout stays tidy on every device.
Note: undo with the Undo button in the top bar, or Ctrl+Z (Windows) / Cmd+Z (Mac).

Can I resize a block?
When you resize or remove a block element, the block resizes automatically to fit the layout, keeping your site looking professional. You can also switch the block’s layout in Block settings and preview variations in the Layout tab.
