How do you connect Google Analytics 4 to your website in Loopia Sitebuilder?

As well as Loopia Sitebuilder’s built-in statistics, you can use Google Analytics to track traffic on your site. The Google Analytics integration is free for all Loopia Sitebuilder users.

Note: your site must be published before you can measure its traffic.

Connecting Google Analytics 4

  1. Sign up for Google Analytics 4. On the Account setup page, fill in the required details for each step. The Account name is the name shown in your Google Analytics reports. When you’re done, choose your country, accept the terms and click Create account.
  2. You’ll arrive in the admin area of the Google Analytics 4 dashboard, where you can copy your Measurement ID by clicking the Copy icon.
  3. In Loopia Sitebuilder, click the Menu button in the top-left corner, then Settings in the sidebar.
  4. In Website settings, click the Integrations tab, then Connect next to Google Analytics.
  5. Paste the Measurement ID you copied from Google Analytics and click Submit.
  6. Click Submit again in Website settings and Publish your site to apply the changes.

Checking that it works

Note: it takes 24 hours for Google Analytics 4 to collect its first data about your site.

Changing the Measurement ID

  1. Copy the new Measurement ID.
  2. In Loopia Sitebuilder, click the Menu button in the top-left corner, then Settings in the sidebar.
  3. In Website settings, click Disconnect next to Google Analytics, then Submit.
  4. Click Connect next to Google Analytics and paste the new Measurement ID.
  5. Click Submit, then Submit again in Website settings. Publish your site to apply the change.

Adding your own tracking code

With Sitebuilder Large or higher, you can instead add a complete tracking code of your own under Custom code in the settings, and choose whether it goes in <head> or <body>.
