A clear navigation menu helps visitors move easily between the pages on your site. You can add a page link to the header’s navigation menu in three ways: when you create the page, via Page settings, or via Navigation settings.
When you create a page
When you create a new page, Show in navigation is ticked by default. Leave it ticked to add the page’s link to the header navigation menu, then click Submit. The link appears in the navigation menu.
Via Page settings
If you unticked Show in navigation when creating the page and now want to show it:
- Click Pages in the top bar to open the Page Manager.
- Hover over the page and click the gear icon to open Page settings.
- On the General tab, tick Show in navigation.
- Click Submit to save.
Via Navigation settings
If you want the page link to appear in the navigation under a different name than the page’s original name:
- Click the navigation area in the header to activate the Navigation settings menu.
- Click the folder tree icon to open Navigation settings.
- Click the (+) button to open the New item menu. (You can also edit the title of an existing navigation item by clicking its settings icon.)
- In the Click action field, choose Open a page from the dropdown, then choose the page you want to add. To show it under a different name, type that name in the Title field; leave the field empty to keep the page’s name.
- Click Submit in the New item menu, then Submit again in Navigation settings to save.
Remember to publish your site for the changes to show.
Note: when you update the navigation menu, the changes apply to every page on your site – unless you’ve enabled a local navigation menu on any page.
You can also reorder the items in the navigation menu however you like, by dragging and dropping them in Navigation settings.
