How do I change the owner of my domain names?

At Loopia you can quickly and easily change ownership of a domain names through Loopia Customer Zone.

Go to Account Settings → Owner change of hosting account and/or domain names and then Start owner change.

Then select the domain names you want to hand over.

The next step is to enter the new owner’s information.

Certain types of domain names require that you print and sign the forms. If this is required for your transfer forms are prefilled and ready to print on the next page.

At the same time an email message are sent out to the new owner with a link to confirmed the owner change and approve our agreements. Once this is done by the new owner, just sit back and wait until the transfer is completed. In the meantime, you can view the status of your current owner changes under Account Settings → Owner change of hosting account and/or domain names.

Owner change of .UK and .DK domains cannot be done through us, you change the owner of these domain names through Dk Hostmaster and Nominet.

Note that the domain name will automatically be removed from the original account and added to an account for the new owner when the owner change is carried out. This means that any DNS settings, web content and e-mail for the domain name will disappear.

The expire date of the domain is not affected by an owner change (exception for .NU) and it is not possible to change the owner of a domain with an active invoice.
