How do you add a banner image to your website in Loopia Sitebuilder?

There are two ways to add a banner to a page in Loopia Sitebuilder: use an image as the background of a Call to action block, or add banner HTML code directly via an HTML embed block.

You might want a banner to:

  • Promote a special event, such as a campaign or something new in your online store.
  • Support an organisation or good cause, such as a charity.
  • Drive sales on external platforms, for example a product in an Amazon store.
  • Add colour to the page and highlight a new user experience.

Which method should you choose?

  • Need a clickable button that sends visitors to another page or website, or lets them download a file? Choose the Call to action block.
  • Already have a ready-made banner from a third party? Choose an HTML embed block.

Adding a banner with the Call to action block

To turn a Call to action block into a full-width banner, you need a background image that supports your message:

  1. Click Add block (+) to open the Block library.
  2. Go to the Call to action block and choose a layout with a background image.
  3. Click the block to add it to the page, then hover over it to open the Block settings menu.
  4. Check that Primary button is ticked in Block settings → Layout.
  5. Edit the heading: click it and type or paste your content.
  6. Customise the button by clicking it and editing the link.
  7. Replace the block’s background with your banner image via the block’s background settings.

Your banner is ready – remember to publish your site for the changes to show.

Adding a banner with the HTML embed block

If you have ready-made banner code from a third party, you can add it via the HTML embed block without designing the banner yourself:

  1. Click Add block (+) to open the Block library.
  2. Choose the HTML embed block to add it to the page.
  3. Click the Custom HTML icon to add the code.
  4. Paste your HTML code into the field and click Submit.

Your custom banner goes live as soon as you publish your site.
