A social media feed with authentic content from your business and followers keeps visitors on your site longer and improves conversion rates. Here’s how to embed Instagram content on your website.
Note: adding and editing custom code requires Sitebuilder Large. If you have a different package, you’ll need to upgrade to use this feature.
To embed individual Instagram posts, you can use Instagram’s built-in features, as described below.
Before you start
To embed specific Instagram posts, the Instagram account the post belongs to must be public. To make an account public, go to the Instagram profile and click More → Settings → Who can see your content, then switch the toggle to make the account public.
Step 1 – Get the embed code for the Instagram post
Go to the Instagram post you want to embed and click it to enlarge it.
- Click the three-dot icon (…) in the post’s top-right corner.
- Choose Embed from the list of actions.
- In the next window, click the blue Copy embed code button to copy the code to your clipboard.
Step 2 – Add the embed code to your page
- In Sitebuilder, click Add a block (+). In the Block library, click HTML embed and choose the <HTML> layout.
- Hover over the block to activate the control panel, then click the Custom HTML icon.
- Paste the code you copied from Instagram into the Custom HTML field.
Step 3 – Add <center> tags
To keep the Instagram post from being pushed to the left or right, wrap the code in <center> and </center> tags, then click Submit. The result isn’t visible in edit mode – the code only runs once published. Use Preview in the top bar to check it before publishing.
Step 4 – Publish the page
Click Publish in Sitebuilder’s top-right corner to make the changes visible.
Embedding an Instagram feed
To show a full Instagram feed, you’ll need a third-party application such as EmbedSocial or Flockler. Once your chosen platform gives you an embed code, add it to your page via the HTML block.
