The Schedule block in Loopia Sitebuilder presents an event agenda clearly and effectively. You can include details such as the date and time of each session, information about the speaker or venue, the names of participants and presenters, and extra space for more details.
Adding a Schedule block
- Choose where you want the block and click Add a block (+).
- In the Block library, select Schedule to see the ready-made layouts.
- Click the layout you like to add it to your page.
Types of Schedule block
Sitebuilder offers two types of Schedule block: calendar and agenda.
To create a calendar block you may need to upgrade your plan, since it requires custom code. To add a Google Calendar to your page, follow the guide on embedding Google Docs, calendars and custom code with the HTML embed block. Google’s own help article on adding a Google calendar to your website may also help.
Note: your embedded calendar is only visible to people you’ve shared it with. To let every visitor see it, you need to make the calendar public in Google Calendar.
How to set up a Schedule block with the agenda layout is described below.
Customising the Schedule block
Click the block, then the Block settings icon. The menu has two tabs: Layout and Appearance.
In the Layout tab you can switch layouts and choose which elements appear – remove the blue tick next to an element (for example a button) to hide it.
In the Appearance tab you can change:
- Block style: the block’s colour theme
- Block spacing: the spacing above and below the block
- Content style: add a border or shadow to make the elements stand out
- Media settings: add a black-and-white filter to the images in the block
Click Save to confirm your changes.
Editing text and images
Click a text element and start typing to replace the demo content, or copy and paste existing content from your text editor. You can replace the demo images with photos of your speakers.
Duplicating, moving and deleting elements
- Duplicate: hover over an item and click the Duplicate icon. An identical element is inserted below the original.
- Move: hover over the element, click the Move icon and drag it up, down or into the neighbouring column. The layout adjusts automatically. You can only move elements within the block, not into another block.
- Delete: hover over the element and click the Delete icon.
When you’re done, click Publish to make your changes live.
