What is a cookie banner?
A cookie banner is a consent notice shown to a visitor the first time they visit a site. Its purpose is to inform visitors about cookies and get their consent to use them.
Enabling the cookie banner
- Click the main menu button in the top-left corner of Loopia Sitebuilder and select Settings in the sidebar.
- Go to the Cookies and user data section and tick Cookie consent banner.
- Click Submit and publish your site for the change to go live.
Visitors will now see the banner at the top of the screen the first time they visit your site.
Editing the cookie banner
The banner’s default text is generic and may not fit your specific situation. To change it, click anywhere on the banner and start typing. You can also format the text – bold, italic, underline or strikethrough.
You can edit the text inside the buttons too – click the existing button text and type a new one.
