The Text block in Loopia Sitebuilder lets you add longer text to your website – for blog posts, legal pages, product descriptions, sales letters and more. It comes in two layouts: a text block with an image and a text block without one.
Ways to use the Text block:
- Blog posts: turn the Text block into an article and link it from your News block.
- Offer descriptions: add more detail about the services or products you offer.
- Combining with other blocks: insert Text blocks between functional blocks such as Booking, Contact or About to describe your services in detail.
Adding the Text block
- Choose where you want the block and click Add a block (+).
- In the Block library, select Text to see the ready-made layouts.
- Click the layout you like to add it to your page.
Customising the block settings
Click the block, then the Block settings icon. The menu has two tabs: Layout and Appearance.
In the Layout tab you can hide the block content by removing the blue tick next to Block content.
In the Appearance tab you can change:
- Block style: the block’s colour scheme.
- Block spacing: the spacing above and below the block.
- Horizontal alignment: move the content to the left or centre.
- Media settings: add a black-and-white filter to the images in the block.
Click Save to confirm your changes.
Editing text in the block
Click a text element and start typing to replace the demo content, or copy and paste existing content from your text editor. You can style your text with:
- Headings
- Bold, italic and underlined text
- Quote formatting for a paragraph
- Alignment – select the paragraph and choose the alignment in the control panel
- Text colour
- Numbered or bulleted lists
Editing images
You can replace the demo images in the Text block with your own visuals. You can also add images inside the text: place the cursor where you want the image and click the Add Image icon in the control panel. Find the image on your computer and click Open – it’s uploaded and resized automatically to fit the page layout.
You can add several images to your text, but keep the file sizes reasonably small so they don’t slow down the page.
Editing article links
You can edit links that lead to articles or other pages on your site. When you’ve finished customising your Text block, click Publish to make the changes live.
