How do you add social media links to your website in Loopia Sitebuilder?

Adding links to your social media profiles on your website is a simple, effective way to get the most out of both – it strengthens your online presence, engages your audience and promotes your content and brand.

You can add links to your social media profiles in these blocks:

• Header block
• Footer block
• Contacts block
• Team block
• Form block

Before you start

Create your social media accounts first, then copy the URLs to your profiles and have them ready.

Linking an icon to a social media account

1. Choose a block that includes social media icons from the Block library and add it to the canvas.
2. If the icons aren’t visible in the block by default, go to the block settings and tick Business social profiles. Click Save and the icons appear.
3. Click the icon container. In the control panel, click Social links settings.
4. In the Social links settings menu, find the profile you want to edit and click its Settings.
5. Type or paste your link in the Link URL field. You can also change the icon by clicking Choose icon and picking one from the library. Click Submit when you’re done.
6. Repeat for every account you want to link, then click Submit in the Social links settings menu. Remember to publish your site for the changes to show.

Adding more social media icons

Sitebuilder comes with ready-made icons and fields for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. To add more accounts:

1. Click the round (+) button in the Social links settings menu.
2. In the New Icon menu, type or paste a new link in the Link URL field.
3. The icon updates automatically – to change it, click Choose icon and pick one from the library.
4. Click Submit, then Submit again to add the icon to the canvas.

Publish your site to apply the changes.

Reordering icons

In the Social links settings menu, hover over a link, grab the hamburger icon that appears and drag it to the position you want. Then click Submit.

Removing icons

1. Click the icon container. In the control panel, click Social links settings.
2. Find the profile you want to remove and click its Delete button.
3. Click Submit and publish your site to apply the change.

Links in the footer

The icons in your Footer block update automatically when you add profiles in the header. To view the links, click the icons in the footer and then Social links settings. Changes made in the footer also update the header automatically.

Note: the icons automatically match the colours in your site’s palette. To change them, create a custom colour palette.
