The News block keeps your visitors up to date with the latest updates and news from your site. You can choose between several types of News block, depending on the content you want to show on your pages.
Adding the News block
- Go to the page where you want to show your articles or news and click Add a block (+).
- In the Block library, select News to see the ready-made layouts.
- Click the layout you like to add it to your page.
Customising the block settings
Click the block, then the Block settings icon. The menu has two tabs: Layout and Appearance.
In the Layout tab you can switch layouts and choose which elements appear – remove the blue tick next to an element to hide it.
In the Appearance tab you can change:
- Block style: the block’s colour scheme.
- Block spacing: the space above and below the block.
- Content layout: the number of items per row.
- Content style: add borders or shadows to make article elements stand out.
- Media settings: add a black-and-white filter to the images.
Note: the controls available may vary depending on the layout.
Customising the News block’s elements
All elements in the News block are highly customisable – you can add, edit, duplicate and remove most of them. Undo any action with Undo or Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac).
Editing images and text
You can replace the demo images with your own, and add a short article summary under each image – click a text element to replace the demo content, or paste in text from elsewhere.
Click Publish to make the changes live.
