The Columns block is a good way to describe different features of your product or the different services you offer. You can customise the icons and add links to individual pages with detailed descriptions of each feature or service.
Adding the Columns block
- Choose where you want the block and click Add a block (+).
- In the Block library, select Columns to see the ready-made layouts.
- Click the layout you like to add it to your page.
Customising the block settings
Click the block, then the Block settings icon. The menu has two tabs: Layout and Appearance.
In the Layout tab you can switch layouts and choose which elements appear – remove the blue tick next to an element to hide it.
In the Appearance tab you can change:
- Block style: the block’s colour scheme.
- Block spacing: the space above and below the block.
- Horizontal alignment: align content left or centre.
- Content layout: the number of items per row.
- Content style: add borders or shadows to make elements stand out.
Click Save when done. Note: the controls available may vary depending on the layout.
Customising the Columns block’s elements
You can duplicate some of the block’s elements to make room for more features or services. Hover over the element and click the Duplicate icon – the identical element appears to the right of the original, and the block’s design adjusts automatically.

You can customise any icon shown in the Columns block.
Customising buttons
You can link buttons to another page on your site – such as your Contact us page or a landing page with your offer – to a page on another website, or let visitors send you an email.
Undo any action with Undo or Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac). Click Publish to make the changes live.
