This guide explains how to import a MySQL (database engine) database on Loopia hosting using phpMyAdmin (web-based MySQL admin). The import is done from the Import tab and is typically used to restore a previous backup of your database.
Import the database file
Start by logging in to phpMyAdmin.
To reload a previous backup, click the Import tab. Then click the Choose file button and find the file you want to import to the database. In most cases you do not need to change any special settings here; just click Go.
Confirmation and errors
When the import has completed, you will receive a message confirming that it was successful. Should it fail for some reason, you will receive an error message describing what went wrong instead.
